Finally this routine of magisterial course / tutorial / practical work has not changed in decades, maybe more than a century, while students have changed. The first was a radical self-criticism of my own way of working at the university where I have been teaching for a little over twenty years. This approach inspired me with two reflections. The course which then takes place is devoted to questions / answers on the “poly”, and exercises on a mode of a classic tutorial. For these schools it consisted of reading the sacrosanct “poly”, cornerstone of all good self-respecting teaching. It consists in giving preparatory work to students before the course given by the professor. The first thing that stroke me was that these two schools, belonging two different groups, practiced the same teaching method : flipped teaching. Both as parent and as teacher, I attended to a “amphi de rentrée” of the two news schools for my children, organized by the administrative and educational teams for the benefits of parents. Three years ago, what happened to many parents happened to me : two of my children entered higher education. ![]() ![]() ![]() Galilee Institute, University Sorbonne of Paris North 1 HISTORICAL
